Gore Springs, MS
On September 12, 2025, about 1739 central daylight time, a Cessna 210A airplane, N911MC, was substantially damaged when it was involved in an accident near Gore Springs, Mississippi. The pilot sustained minor injuries. The airplane was operated as a Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 91 personal flight. The pilot reported a loss of engine power during cruise flight. He subsequently executed a forced landing on a two-lane road. The wings struck trees and a road sign during the landing. Both wings sustained leading-edge impact damage to the outboard 2-3 feet and near mid-span. ADS-B data revealed the flight departed from the Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport (GPT) at 1550 and climbed to a cruise altitude of about 4,500 ft mean sea level (msl). About 1731, the airplane entered a descent that continued until the final data point which was consistent with the reported loss of engine power. The final ADS-B data point was recorded at 1738:17, with an associated altitude of 1,000 ft msl. An engine examination is planned following recovery of the airplane to an appropriate facility.
